Location: Spring Farm
About
Located in the Macarthur Region of New South Wales, the suburb of Spring Farm is ruled and governed by the Camden Council. Spring Farm is 60km away from the Sydney CBD. It is on the east side of the Nepean River. Currently Spring Farm is in the process of suburban redevelopment. The post code of the suburb is 2570. The surrounding suburbs are Elderslie, Narellan, Narellan Vale, Camden, Mount Annan, Camden South, Camden Park and Menangle Park.
The area was originally home to the Tharawal People, a group of indigenous people of Australia. In 1805, wool pioneer John Macarthur, was granted 5,000 acres (20 km²) at Cowpastures. After the land was cleared, it was used for farming for most of the next 200 years until Sydney’s suburban sprawl reached the town of Camden and the farmland was subdivided into housing blocks.
